-------------------------------------------------------------------

Before I begin to fill you in on what happened with this family I want to point out two new "rules" (well one is new, one is an amendment to an existing rule) that I will be playing with going forward.  First the amendment.  I have always played where wishes fulfilled on a date do not count towards the 5-daily wishes, as date wishes are all basically the same.  I am amending that to now be, while wishes fulfilled on a date will count towards their daily goal, I will not direct any wishes to be fulfilled after "Ask on Date" is done.  If any wishes are completed by the couple themselves, without my involvement, then I will count it as fulfilled.

The second change to the rules is the addition of a rule that I broke a couple of times during this house already but will try to get better at it.  That new rule is, unless it is going to fulfill a wish, or do something "required" that cannot be wished for, I will not direct the sims. What this means is, beyond things like paying the bills, that a sim will never do autonomously and/or wish for it on their own, they have to be working towards fulfilling a wish either for themselves or someone else to be directed (with the caveat of being on a date as mentioned above.)  So, for instance, unless a kid wishes to do homework OR the parent wishes to help with homework, or see the child get an A+ I will not direct a sim to do it.  This will not be held to for things like updating or buying furniture or handling the athletics of the house (even though they might wish for something like a crib if they have a baby) I won't require a wish for new furniture or a better bed, etc.

All right, with that fun out of the way let's see how the season went with the Greenman's.  This family is the first one to start on the first day of the season.  Typically a family starts the day before, even sometimes mid-day the day before, but these guys begin the morning of the 1st day of the season, so they will only be played for the 5 days the season has.

When the house opens we get Jason started on gaining one of the skill points he needs for a promotion.  Since he doesn't care what skill, he just wants a skill point, he works on Mechanical and gets it quickly.  Little Daisy is on her way to the music box to work on her creativity skill point.

Rose, on the other hand, heads to the computer to look up jobs.  Wouldn't you know it, one of the two careers she wished to join came up.  Rose becomes the newest employee at an architecture firm. She almost instantly throws a wish to get a skill point after that, just like her husband.

However, before anything more can be done, the welcome wagon arrives with familiar sims in tow.  Rose heads out to greet them all and most of her wishes change to wanting to make friends.  This will be the Rose we know from here on during this season.  The Rose that is more pop sim then family sim.

Rose then gets the, now expected, phone call from someone asking if she wants to go downtown.  She doesn't particularly want to go, but in this hood, we always accept these offers and so she gets ready to head out.  Jason was at work, so a nanny was requested to come by....twice apparently.

Rose heads out and I believe it was Ramir Patel that actually invited her out, but the group for the outing is quite large, and as soon as she arrives she wants to buy coffee for someone, so they all head to the small coffee shop. We even have a nanny in tow, maybe that's why two showed up.  The one was headed out with us.

Rose and Ramir sit and enjoy a coffee and conversation together.  They are friends already and spend multiple hours just enjoying the company of each other.  It's an easy friendship with nothing else to it.

However, we do spy two other very common sims on this lot, and they almost look like they are on some kind of date here (even though they are not, they showed up at different times, but still.)  Angela and Puck could have some interesting kids if they hit it off.  Have a ways to go before we reach either house, however, so who knows what will happen.

Back home, Rose's wishes turn to making friends with the welcome wagon.  She wants to make friends with Faith and Carlos at least and wants to be BF's with Ramir.  So she talks, she jokes, she plays, and she talks some more to get Faith as a friend.

Once Jason gets home, it continues to be skill central around here.  With a knowledge sim, this is expected, but he isn't a plant sim and needs sleep.  So while he does ok on his wishes, most of the skills he needs or wants are much higher level than is easy to reach in one night.

Once Jason goes to bed for the night Rose wishes to get a skill point herself and so she sits down and reaches a mechanical skill point quickly.  Her wishes now turn back to making friends and getting a promotion.  The family doesn't have a ton of money yet, so the other wishes for things like hobby benches will have to wait.

The next morning Jason wakes up with a wish to eat pancakes.  Well, that is a very easy wish to fulfill as it is breakfast time and he is hungry with enough culinary points available to make pancakes.

Then his wishes turn towards work, like go to work, get a promotion, and then back to normal knowledge sim things like see a ghost.  He'll head off to work a little later, so in the meantime, we work on helping Daisy get her wishes in for the day.  Which included a game of peek-a-boo. I love the looks on toddlers' faces while playing this game.

Rose comes home very happy, having gotten promoted that day already.  She is back to wishing for a skill point and to make friends with Carlos, be friends with Faith, and best friends with Ramir.  She is going to be a handful.

When Jason returns home, he is also wishing for skill points, but I believe he is now feeling more specific.  He specifically wants a creativity skill point.  So on goes the hat, and he sits down to tickle the ivories for a while.

Outside in the side yard, Rose and Daisy are working on getting some sunshine and Rose needed water as well.  This has the added benefit of working up her body skill, albeit slowly.  Little Daisy is getting ready to grow up as well but has already reached her wishes for the day.

How quickly time flies, and while I forgot to note the exact day or time, Daisy grew up into an adult female and rolled, much like her mother, to be a family sim.  She also happens to be a secondary romance sim, and her lifetime want is to have 6 grandchildren.  I suppose if she has trouble finding a mate she can just spawn a bunch of kids.

Rose is wanting to now be friends with Herbert Goodie, who came by the other night with his wife Faith while Rose was trying to reach best friend status with her.  She becomes friends with him easily enough over a game of hacky sack.

Jason decides to be a pain and doesn't want anything easy to reach.  The easiest he's got is to win a dancing contest, which isn't likely to happen.  He may be interested in music, and good at the piano, but that doesn't make you a good dancer.  However, a trip to the community lot might shake up his wishes, so off he goes.  Not a big shock, but he doesn't win, and it's after midnight, so it will wait until later now.

Daisy is wishing for a date.  Now she knows almost no one, seeing as how she jumps straight from toddler to an adult, so she heads down to the community lots to try and meet some guys.  Maybe one will be interested in a date.  She does meet 2 men who are 2-bolts right away.  Chester Gieke and Andrew Martin.  Both of them have expressed interest in other ladies of the hood, but this is wishes, so after talking a little to both, Chester seems to be the better match and she asks.  He says yes, and the date instantly ends.  Not sure what happened there, but Daisy goes home happy anyway.

The next day Daisy hasn't lost the desire to have another date as well as to be friends with Chester.  She invites him over, and he comes happily by.  They start another date, and this one goes through the end.  They manage to reach a couple of wishes for Daisy while they are at it, but it was all on their own.

Rose, once again, comes home promoted on the very next day of work and she is feeling great, other than the fact all her wishes revolve around making friends or best friends with various people around the hood.  Aren't you a family sim Rose?

That night there is a thunderstorm and while Rose does the smart thing and wishes to skill, Daisy is left to her own devices, having reached her wishes for the day, and spends the entire evening splashing in a puddle.  She never leaves it.

With that, we have reached the end of the season.  It mostly flew by, and with two plantsims I just keep them fairly busy all the time.  I would like to get some more plant lights to help with the sunlight needs, but for now, they are doing well.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Summary:

Jason: One of the hardest sims to keep happy most days.  His wishes seldom shook up, even if I took him out and while he would want for a couple of skill points, most of the levels are getting harder and harder to reach quickly.  He also started wishing for the harder to get things like, see a ghost or be saved from death.
Ending Wishes: See a Ghost, Get a Promotion, Reach Body Level 6, Reach Cooking Level 7

Rose: Started off pretty easy, but then hit a couple of rough days with the wishes for best friends.  It takes more than a day of being a friend to become best friends, and as soon as she made friends all of her wishes revolved around either getting a promotion or making best friends with various sims.
Ending Wishes: Best Friend Friends with Carlos (Contender), Go on Mountain Vacation, Be Best Friends with Herbert (Goodie), Get a Promotion (Locked)

Daisy: By far the easiest sim to keep happy.  Starting out as a toddler she wished daily for things with her parents, like snuggles or playtime, and then as an adult for just a little over 1 day she wanted dates and skills.
Ending Wishes: Buy a Toymaking Bench, Flirt with Chester (Gieke), Be Best Friends with Chester (Gieke), Be Friends with Andrew (Martin)

Round 1: Teatherton (Season 1: Spring)

Teatherton Household:

Alexandra Teatherton: Adult Female | Popularity/Romance | LTW: Become Captain Hero | First Wishes: Meet Someone New, Entertain, Talk, Play With | First Fulfilled: Meet Someone New

------------------------------------------------------------------

I have never played this family, but we know from looking at her family tree, and from the wiki, that she used to be married to Gabe O'Mackey and that Jules O'Mackey is her daughter.  She has a negative relationship with Gabe, but no relationship with her daughter.  She has a crush on Julien Cooke, which happened way back in his update. So let's see what happens with her.

First things first, she is a pop sim and wants to be meet people, but there is no one around right away, so she heads inside and when left to her own devices sits down to do some writing in her journal.

The first person to come on the lost is the paperboy so out she goes to meet him and fulfills that first all-important wish for the day. She then starts rolling wishes to do more things with him, but he has to continue on his paper route, but it shook up her wants enough to want other things for the day.

The very next thing Alexandra wants to do is to throw a party.  She knows a few people so she just invites everyone at the top of her friends' list, the only friend is Julien Cooke, but otherwise, they have almost friend relationships. With some influencing and a fun party, all her wishes are easily met for the day.

During the party, Alexandra did get invited for an outing like normally happens that first day, but the taxi took forever to show up and we got the "you stood me up" message.  So she went back to the party. The next day Alexandra woke up with similar wishes as the day before, only now she is wanting to start making best friends.  So the first order of business though is to make friends with the paperboy.

After that Alexandra fools me.  She wishes for a skill point, to eat grilled cheese sandwiches, and to eat lunch meat sandwiches.  Her other wish is for 2 best friends.  So we have her skill and realize something is off.  She gets the skill point, gets the aspiration points, doesn't actually earn the skill.  I think it's a CC as this happens again later with someone else, so it's taken out and everything seems normal again.

After skilling we have her eat sandwiches. She eats both kinds because the wishes didn't leave, so an easy set of wishes for day two and she gets in 5 without much effort. This feels like a good moment to point out that in this hood, for this first round, I'm playing through the first full season.  Some of the houses in Riverblossom Hills started much earlier in season 1 then most houses.  Typically you have that last day of season 1 and then you are in season 2.  Here, as was the same with the Ramaswami house, she had 4 days of winter before spring.  However, spring is the first full season, so we play all the way through it.

Another day and another set of wishes and this time Alexandra wants to party.  So we invite over friends again and fewer show up this time, but they still have a good party.

During the party, Alexandra throws a wish to woohoo in a bed.  This must be her romance side coming out, as it isn't spring yet, but Julien is the only one even close to being able to meet this.  They snuggle on the bed, but cannot get past crush status to allow for woohoo.

The next few days start to go downhill for Alexandra and she starts to struggle with wish getting, but we'll see why in just a bit.  So the next day dawn after Alexandra only got 4 wishes the day before, the Best Friends and BFF wishes beginning to take over. This day, however, she wants again wants to meet someone new and when Stephen Tinker walks by she greats him.

She still has the desire to woohoo in a bed, and she throws the wish to invite someone over.  So she calls up Julien and invites him over.  So far so good.  Julien comes over and almost instantly jumps into her arms.

After a few flirts and jokes, Alexandra is showing a love for Julien.  I'm not sure if Julien has ever reached love level with Alexandra or not, but we head to the bed to check and sure enough, they can woohoo, and thus we fulfill Alexandra's locked woohoo wish.

After our rendezvous with Julien, her wishes go to things we can't easily reach, so she heads to a community lot hoping it will shake them up.  Unfortunately, when she gets there, it doesn't re-roll any of her wishes. But there are a lot of playable, so she stays and talks with them and east some food.

The next day Alexandra has to go to work, which causes her wishes to not be met early in the morning, but she now wants to be friends with Titiana Summerdream, whom she met the night before.  She does call her up and talks for a bit, but then right as the carpool rolls up she runs into the bathroom.

Oh, come on risky!!!! After she arrives from home later that day we get the telltale pop.  Yep...Alexandra is pregnant.  She has only had woohoo the one time by me, and since we have no ACR it didn't happen on a different lot, so this is all Julien's baby.

She now wishes to woohoo with two different sims.  It's spring so the romance side of her is coming at her full force.  I'm not fully interested in getting her a bunch of woohoos, but she also wishes for a date and more friends, so we invite this townie over (who I cannot remember the name of) for a date.

We end date before it gets too hot and heavy and Alexandra wants to meet someone new again.  So the next passer-by who heads onto the lot she heads out to meet.  This guy is a bit creepy, checking her out in such a way as she walks again in her underwear.

This day was rough on Alexandra, due to her working and being pregnant, she was hungry, tired and not in the mood to do much of anything.  So after only getting a few wishes in for the day she heads to bed.  Now, the hits keep coming.  This jerk comes on the lot.

Alexandra is able to get up and get to the phone to call the police while he heads to the "extra" room to steal her vase and statue. The police show up and the fight ensues and luckily the policeman won this time. I wish we would get our stuff back instead of just money, but the money will come in handy to buy baby stuff I guess.

Now, Julien had called up Alexandra to go on a date downtown.  I had her standing by the taxi, but she got started talking to someone who had come on the lot and "missed" the taxi thus upsetting Julien.  That has apparently caused her to wish to learn couple's counseling, which she did over the course of a couple of days.

She also wants to invite Julien over, so she does and after some apologizing, joking and general talking, they seem to be healing the anger, in fact, they got the point where he was willing to meet her newest woohoo wish.  It likely helps it's been a few days that allowed him to calm down.  While he was there and they were playing catch (I think) outside, the first labor pains hit.  The newest member of the family is on their way.

We breathe out a sigh of relief when it tells us there is only one new addition and we have a little girl.  She is born right after midnight on January 10, year (day) 7. She has her daddies black hair but appears to have her mom's pretty eyes.  Both parents are happy.  I take a peek at Julien's wishes and he has a wish to get engaged to Alexandra.

After finally having a baby, and her mood not dropping constantly we are able to get back into the swing of wish fulfillment. One of her first wishes that next morning was to throw a party, so she does and invites all her newest friends to meet the baby.

Then she makes a new friend in Goneril Capp, whom Alexandra met the other day during one of her "meet someone new" phases.  After talking on the phone for a bit she manages to make that wish come true.

It time for little Scarlet to grow up and her mom heads in to help her.  Upon growing up Scarlet wishes to buy a toy, be tickled by both of her parents, and learn to walk.  She is a cutie but appears to have gotten Julien's nose, so I will be interested to see her as a child and teen later.

After a bit of tickling and buying some toddler stuff Alexandra goes and makes smart milk.  She is having a party, so instead of learning to walk, she starts to teach Scarlet to talk, which rolled up once the tickling was fulfilled. It was easy to fulfill both Alexandra and Scarlet's wishes for this last day.

With that, we wrap up the spring season with the Teatherton family.  This house is super small and doesn't have a ton of room for a growing family, but they might end up with Julien next round, we will just see what happens. He is a popularity/family sim, and will likely want to have his daughter close. We have two more houses in this neighborhood so we are getting closer to being 1/2 way through this first round.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Summary:

Alexandra: Was super easy early on, but after she got pregnant became difficult.  All her wishes took time, and she was always exhausted and hungry so she didn't have time to meet them.  Also, she couldn't leave the lot to shake up wishes because of the pregnancy also.  By the end, however, she was back to her normal self and meeting wishes again.
Ending Wishes: Be Friends with Jill (Fleig), Meet Someone New, Be BFF with River (Woodrow) (paperboy), Be Best Friends with Goneril (Capp)

Scarlet: Came in so late into the round we have only had one day with her.  She was unexpected and not really wished for, but that is what happens with Risky.  So now she is here, and so far adorable.  I will be interested in seeing how her wishes shake out this next round.
Ending Wishes: Be Talked to by Alexandra (Teatherton), Learn to Walk (Locked), Get Potty Trained, Be Read to by Alexandra (Teatherton)
